Mission:
Resistance is Necessary
Location: Transport Mirage
The Earth transport, Mirage cruised through the system as Sakura Meng accompanied by her daughters Kimora and Leila made their way back to the Sol system. In all honesty, they should have arrived back to Mars yesterday. But due to some technical issues the transport had been delayed, and they found themselves stuck on Trillus Prime an extra day. The Mirage would be arriving back home hours before the Jane Addams would, which means she wouldn't have to hear Jason complain about the girls not being available when he arrived.
It seemed like since the ship departed Trillus Prime, these two have been fighting nonstop. Sakura simply rubbed the temples on the side of her head. The vacation started off great, then suddenly it was one argument followed by another. "Will you two please just stop touching each other."
"She touched me first," Kimora argued.
Leila quickly countered. "No, you touched me first."
Out of nowhere, she hit her older sister on the head. Quickly retaliating, Kimora shoved her sister on the floor hard. This led to Leila screaming and crying.
"Kimora do you see what you just did?" Sakura responded.
"You need to tell her not to hit me again. If not, I will hit her again."
Clearly frustrated, the mother picked up Leila off the crowd. "Young lady we don't do that in this family."
"Since when?" Kimora questioned.
"Since always do you understand me?"
"I recall you hitting daddy once." The child folded her arms and stared down her mother.
This time, Sakura took a deep breath. Kimora clearly did forget much, especially when it came to father. "Well, it happened so long ago. Besides things are so much between me and your father.
The child clearly wasn't buying into what was being sold to her. But due to the frustrating look on her mother's face, she opted to go silent. Standing up, Kimora moved to another seat away from the other a two.
"Thank you," Sakura sighed. Without hesitation she directed her attend to Leila. "And you stop provoking your sister. If not, I'll just allow her to take her wraith out on you. Do you understand me?"
Leila was about to counter, but her mother held up a hand silencing the younger child. "I asked one simple question. Do you understand me?"
"Yes ma'am," Leila answered.
Kimora looked over to her sister and simply rolled her eyes. Reaching into her backpack, she pulled out a PADD. Activating the PADD which was about Starfleet ships, she began to read the contents out loud.
Sakura looked over to Kimora and wanted to tell her to read in silence but opted to just allow her to continue. This was the quietest her children have been in almost two days. As soon as Jason picked up the girls, she would have a vacation to herself, somewhere peaceful, quiet and no children around. Suddenly her thoughts were interrupted with Leila hopping on her lap. Even though she was nine going on ten. She was clearly the baby and very much acted like it on occasion. Kimora on the other hand was a very independent child who wanted to be left alone and always into something. Like her father, she could just never hold still to just enjoy things. It was always looking to find the next thing around the corner.
Looking out the window, Kimora ran over to the window. The transport quickly passed by a planet indicating that they were officially back in the Sol System. "Look mama, its Neptune."
"Yes, I see it." Another thought of relief passed over Sakura knowing that they would be home real soom.
