Borg Timeline by Year

> 2063: Borg traveled back in time from 2373 in an unsuccessful attack on Earth in 2063.

> 2293: Federation offered aid to El-Aurian refugees fleeing the Borg. While second knowledge was available through the refugees, almost nothing was contributed to the Alpha Quadrant's awareness or understanding of the Borg Collective.

> 2340: Magnus and Erin Hansen, operating on the information available from the refugees, set out in search of the Borg. Their research took them into the Delta Quadrant where their daughter, Annika, was assimilated in 2350.

> 2362: Borg enter the Alpha Quadrant; USS Tombaugh was assimilated; what happened to the Tombaugh remains a mystery to Starfleet.

> 2364: Outposts assimilated along the Romulan Neutral Zone; Starfleet unaware of what happened.

> 2367: Acting on information obtained through the Hansens, the El-Aurians, the crew of the Tombaugh, and personnel from the Romulan Outposts, the Borg declare their intention to assimilate the Federation and the Romulan Empire. Cubes are dispatched and a Borg cube arrive in Sector 001 at the same time one arrives in the Romulus System. The Federation Council is in session at the time of the attack.
